2012 WFC Sportfishing Rule Proposals to WDFW
June 13, 2012Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is accepting suggestions for modifications to the personal use (sport) fishing regulations. You have until June 15 to submit these changes. Sportfishing rule changes developed through this process will be available for public review and comment in early September. It will be very important for wild fish supporters to weigh in at this time. Suggestions that make the grade would become Washington law starting May 1, 2013.
WFC will be submitting conservation rule suggestions specific to both wild steelhead and rockfish sportfishing. WFC staff have worked closely with the Wild Steelhead Coalition to develop steelhead recommendations. Below are the recommendations for both fisheries:
