School Programs
Environmental Discovery Program
This three-part program for 3rd-5th
grade students emphasizes the importance of native plants, native animals, and
healthy ecosystems. Students receive a partial day of pre-field trip
instruction, followed by a full-day field trip to Oxbow Organic Farm in
Carnation, Washington, and a follow-up classroom visit. Curriculum includes a research
project, science investigation activities, and poetry writing. The program is
free of charge to participating schools.
Window to Discovery
Students use video technology to observe wildlife in their natural surroundings and learn how animals use habitats when undisturbed by human presence. Curriculum focuses on observation skills and scientific inquiry. Check out the video clips to see what we’ve been learning!
