Rep. Simpson’s Concept for the Lower Snake River Dams and Environmental Justice

A proposal by Idaho Representative Mike Simpson (R) would breach the four lower Snake River dams at the cost of suspending bedrock environmental laws and exposing communities across the Columbia River basin to environmental and health hazards.

In the attached joint statement, Wild Fish Conservancy has joined 16 other conservation organizations who support dam removal but share concerns over aspects of the current proposal that undermine environmental justice.
