Mady joined Wild Fish Conservancy in March 2026 as a Fisheries Field Technician. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and brings a diverse fieldwork background in conservation, with experience ranging from working with sloths in Costa Rica to conducting coral reef research and jellyfish surveys. In recent years, she has enjoyed supporting salmonid conservation in her home state through roles that include invasive species monitoring via boat electrofishing and water typing. At Wild Fish Conservancy, Mady contributes to water typing efforts across the Kitsap Peninsula and conducts fish passage assessments. Based in Olympia, she enjoys playing the flute and mandolin; volunteering with her local theater, community garden, and yoga studio; and learning ways to grow, forage, and cook her own food.
