As Communications and Outreach Director for Wild Fish Conservancy (WFC), Margo leads strategic messaging and public engagement efforts in support of the organization’s mission to protect wild fish and the ecosystems they depend on. Prior to joining WFC, Margo helped elevate the visibility and impact of nonprofits including Girl Scouts of Western Washington and Cascade PBS, using her experience in marketing, communications, and mission-driven storytelling to grow audiences, mobilize public support, and build lasting engagement. In addition to her nonprofit work, Margo also brings a strong background in journalism to her role, having worked as a staff editor and freelance writer for a variety of print and digital publications. Margo holds a bachelor's degree in Arts, Media, and Culture from the University of Washington, along with a Certificate in Editing. As a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and a committed advocate for environmental and community-driven causes, Margo is honored to support WFC’s vital work to preserve the region’s wild fish heritage. Outside of work, Margo enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to new places, and bringing people together over delicious home-cooked meals.
